Mhairi's first art exhibition
Downs Syndrome woman proud of exhibition
Aberdeen woman Mhairi Kinnaird, who has Downs Syndrome, is proud of her first art exhibition which is currently on at the Camphill Medical Practice in Bieldside, Aberdeen.
Mhairi, who works at the Breadmaker in Rosemount Viaduct, has been attending art therapy classes at Camphill Medical Practice. Art Therapist Jennie Tanser spotted Mhairi’s talent and arranged for the exhibition.
Jennie commented:
“People with Downs Syndrome tend to have a good sense of colour, but not of form. But Mhairi’s paintings stand out as being both colourful and very perceptive.”
Mhairi will be visiting her art exhibition at Camphill Medical Practice this Friday (March 12). Camphill Medical Practice is on the Murtle Campus of Camphill School Aberdeen, in the Bieldside area of Aberdeen.
Camphill Medical Practice is one of seven Camphill organisations in Camphill Aberdeen City and Shire.
